The United States and beyond:
Cable tow’s distance? Try again
Just where are your lodge brothers today? Within a cable tow’s length? Think again.

North Carolina brethren live in many places outside their lodge neighborhoods. And they are continually on the move, working, visiting, vacationing, helping.

Which explains why many are not regularly seen at lodge meetings. People do move to North Carolina and identify with their bonds with faith and fraternity. But they also move away. Here’s an example. The Excelsior 261 mailing list includes these destinations:

Dallas, TX; Tacoma, WA; Helena, MT, Alexandria, VA; Jacksonville, FL; Webster, FL; Nicholasville, KY; Franklin, IN; Toccoa, GA; Rontoda West, FL; Muscle Shoals, AL; Port St. Lucie, FL; DeBary, FL; Suffolk, VA; Pearland, TX; Covington, GA; Julian, CA; Deltona, FL; Conyers, GA; Roseville, MI; St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; Pounding Mill, VA; Roan Mountain, TN; Bradenton, FL; Port Neches, TX; Ambler, PA; Highland, IN; Englewood, FL; Worthington, OH; Duluth, GA; Fairfax, VA; Richmond, VA; Tel Mond, Israel; Viewtown, VA; Norcross, GA, and Johnson City, TN.
