Statewide:
Warning
The media and North Carolina Masons should be alerted to the absence of Masonic identity in some key places where it should rationally and reasonably exist.

There is no identification of Masonic affiliation of President James Knox Polk at his Pineville birthplace, operated by the state.

There is no identification of Masonic affiliation of Governor Zebulon Vance at his Reems Creek birthplace, operated by the state.

There is no identification of the Masonic affiliations of Presidents Jackson, Polk and Johnson at or near the massive monument to all three at the North Carolina capitol.

There is no identification of Masonic affiliations in virtually all biographies of all three NC-born American presidents, Governor Zebulon Vance and other famed Masons in NC history. That includes “Father of Our State” Richard Caswell.

There is no identification of any Masons as such in the Charlotte Museum of History or the Hezekiah Alexander Homesite which are supported in part by public funds. There is proper Masonic ID at The American Freedom Bell on the same campus.
