Charlotte:
Home of Brother Jacob Rintels still looking great on Queens Road
Brother Zeb Vance spent ten years in Charlotte with his friend Brother Sam Wittkowsky, the town’s leading merchant. When Vance founded Excelsior 261, one of the first to take the degrees was Wittkowsky's partner, Jacob Rintels.

He and his wife Bessie Wallace Rintels built a rare example of Victorian Italianate architecture on West Trade Street. In 1916 the house was moved from the growing business section to 1700 Queens Road. It’s worth viewing at any time. Today’s value: $1 million plus.
